NK'MIP Resort is a four season playground for you and your guests, offering the Ultimate Okanagan Destination showcasing a rich native heritage and the best of what the area has to offer. Located at the south end of the Osoyoos Indian Band’s land, NK'MIP Resort encompasses over 200 acres of the 'bottomland' (NK'MIP). "NK'MIP" in the Syilx language refers to the area at the north end of the lake where the mouth of the lake meets the Okanagan River.
Visit the 5th Annual NK'MIP Festival of Trees on display at Spirit Ridge and NK'MIP Cellars from November 22nd to Januray 4th. This event features over 30 beautiful decorated trees from local business and organizations in support of BC Children's Hospital Fouindation. There is no cost to attend the event but donations to BCCHF are requested.
As well Spirit of the Game Society will be holding a silent auction during the festival and guess how many lights on the Tree of Hope for a chance to win a two-night stay at any Bellstar resort (minimum donation required).

There is a layer called Cryptogrammic Crust that covers the desert floor. When it rains, the desert floor becomes green and vibrant; this is the Crust sucking up the moisture and preserving it in the ground. If disturbed, it could take up to 100 years for this crust to return.
